<description>Unlike the methods mentioned above, greylisting still has pretty high impact. Of course, for most people it&#039;s a one-time-thing, as they&#039;ll make it onto the whitelist after they resend their first email, but it&#039;s not a generally painless process, in particular considering that people nowadays expect their emails to arrive within seconds, and are assuming something is broken if it takes longer. Also, I&#039;ve read some reports before that spammers (and their softwares) are getting smarter, adapting to greylisting, slowly turning it into a technique that won&#039;t keep out spammers anymore, and only really affect legitimate users.</description>
