I am pretty sure I used the Ctrl-click option-menu at the time I wrote that blog post (back in 2007), but Apple might have moved that option to the regular menu in the meantime. I’ll update the article.

This is a great article, the only thing is that the right click button does not work, but it does appear on the Mailbox menu option.

In meiner Ausbildungszeit (bin ja eigentlich bei der DBP gelernter “Fernmeldehandwerker”) waren diese FernmeldeTischApparate noch Standard. Leider habe ich auch keinen mehr, obwohl noch jahrelang einer im Kellerregal lag. Schade eigentlich.
In diesen Zeiten hieß der Hörer noch Handapparat und man konnte dank Impulswahlverfahren auch noch mit dem Gabelumschalter (Hörerablage – Begriff in Anlehnung an den noch älteren W48 ) die Nummer des Gesprächspartners morsen.

I think updating the hardware wouldn’t have solved the problem in this case.

I DID upgrade the hardware in a hopeless case, though… I just got rid of my Nokia E71 and got a fruity phone instead.
