Cisco IP Phones: Configure Daylight Savings Time in Europe

[The Jack Bauer Phone.

We Europeans do a few things differently — and this includes switching to DST on the last (instead of the first) Sunday in March.

In order to have your phone set the time correctly, you need to provide a SIP configuration (through TFTPD, in my case) which contains the following settings (my time zone is UTC+1):

time_zone: "CET"
dst_offset: "01/00"
dst_auto_adjust: "1"
dst_start_month: "March"
dst_start_day: "0"
dst_start_day_of_week: "Sunday"
dst_start_week_of_month: "8"
dst_start_time: "02/00"
dst_stop_month: "October"
dst_stop_day: "0"
dst_stop_day_of_week: "Sunday"
dst_stop_week_of_month: "8"
dst_stop_time: "02/00"
